I'm also a qualified Yoga Therapist & Teacher and am deeply passionate about sharing the value of yoga for women.
A little about my journey...
As a secondary school drama teacher, it was the practice of yoga that got me through many a school production! After dabbling for many years I embarked on my 500hr yoga teacher training to "throw myself in" and dive deeper into my practice. I quickly found myself gravitating towards a focus on women's health after continuing my training in pre & postnatal yoga. This also paralleled my own journey into motherhood where I experienced first hand the powerful effects of yoga through birth and beyond.
I discovered a passion for learning about yoga, so I trained in a range of styles including Yin Yoga, Myofascial Release, Kids Yoga Therapy, Trauma Sensitive Yoga & Somatic Movement, as well as Prenatal Pilates. I then eventually returned to study to gain my qualification as a Yoga Therapist, which allowed my teaching & practice to evolve. I dove deep into exploring the internal practice of yoga, of letting go of what we think yoga should LOOK like in favour of how it FEELS. I also co-founded YogaMamas with my soulsista Kate Payne, creating a thriving online community & free App for mums and those-to-be exploring the tools of yoga.
I am a mama of 3 mini yogis, a hobby photographer and eternal student! After relocating to the coast I am now living my dream life by the sea with my gorgeous family. I truly believe that life is about balance - so walk along the beach, eat chocolate & drink red wine, know what it means to feel good in your body and dedicate time to connecting with yourself.
How can I help?
I offer 1:1 Yoga Therapy sessions to help you create a practice that is individual to your needs. I also work with small pre & postnatal and women's health groups guiding in the practices of yoga, somatic movement & Ayurveda.
I teach yoga classes at the beautiful High Tide Yoga and Movement, in Ocean Grove (Click here for full timetable) Plus, I offer a range of workshops & teacher trainings focusing on various areas of Women's Health - from Melbourne to Surf Coast, Vic.
